At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Akureyri and travel in a jeep to the highlands of Kerlingarföll, one of the most fascinating places in Iceland!
Driving through the wild landscapes of the Icelandic highlands, we'll reach Hveravelli, a geothermal area in the heart of the country. Once we arrive, we'll enjoy the highlights of this natural reserve, admiring its fumaroles, geysers, boiling wells, and springs.
What's more, in Hveravelli we'll stop at its hot springs so you can take a warm bath. After relaxing for a while, we'll return to the jeep and continue our tour through the highlands in the direction of Kerlinfarföll. Here, landscapes full of high mountains of rhyolite rock await us, whose colors will leave you speechless.
We'll explore the lands of Kerlingarföll, discovering the glacial parts, ravines, hot springs, and pools that it houses. Are you hungry? We'll take you to a restaurant for lunch on your own.
After refueling, we'll continue learning all about the geothermal activity in the area. Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Akureyri at approximately 8 pm.
