Dynjandi, Arnarfjördur & Bíldudalur Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet on Þórsgata in Patreksfjordur and set off on a day trip to some of the most beautiful places in the Westfjords.
The first stop of the day will be at Tálknafjördur, a small fishing village. As we walk through its streets, we'll see how its traditions have been upheld and learn all about its history. We'll also admire breathtaking views.
Next, we'll head to Bíldudalur, the capital of the Westfjords. As well as seeing the Arnarfördur Fjord, we'll step inside the Sea Monster Museum. Here, we'll discover this town's numerous legends and mysteries relating to underwater menaces...
After visiting the museum, we'll visit the Arnarfjördur Fjord and explore its incredible landscapes on foot. We'll walk in the direction of Dynjandi, one of the most striking waterfalls in Iceland. Keep your cameras at the ready, as this waterfall is truly spectacular!
Following our hike, we'll return to the minibus and drive towards the Dynjandisheidi Mountain to follow in the footsteps of the first Scandinavian who dared to sail in Iceland. Perhaps the name Floki rings a bell? If you're a fan of the hit series Vikings, you'll already know who we're talking about!
We'll then pass by Bardaströnd Beach before returning to Patreksfjordur. Our day trip will finish at around 3 pm upon our arrival back at the starting point.
