Raudasandur Seal Watching
We'll meet at the entrance of Melanes Camping in Patreksfjordur at the agreed time and head towards Raudasandur beach, one of the most special beaches in West Iceland. Sharpen your eyesight, the seals are waiting for us!
After a 30 minute drive, we'll reach the reddish sand of this famous spot, surrounded by huge cliffs and the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. When we arrive at Raudasandur, we'll get into a carriage pulled by a tractor, which will take us along the beach in search of the seal families that live in the area.
This way, you'll be able to see the seals up close without disturbing them, and you're sure to take some lovely photographs! The guide will also tell us all about these mammals, making us real experts.
Finally, we'll be back at the starting point after a two-hour tour.
