Northern Lights & ATV Tour

At 3:30 pm on the afternoon of your activity, you'll be picked up from your nearest meeting point in Reykjavik, ready to embark on your Icelandic adventure. First up, you'll have a lesson on how to safely drive the ATVs, or all-terrain vehicles, that you'll use to explore Iceland's impressive natural landscapes.

As night begins to fall, the wintery scenery around you will slowly darken and you'll feel your senses heighten as the adrenaline courses through your veins on this thrilling quad bike tour. Accompanied at all times by expert guides, you'll drive over trails through the beautiful Icelandic countryside and up the Hafnarfjall Mountain, from which you'll have magnificent views of Reykjavik.

Your quad bike tour will come to an end at the Reykjavik bus terminal, and from there you'll begin the second part of your tour. Hop aboard a bus and leave the city behind in search of the aurora borealis, one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in the world.

Heading into the countryside to get away from the lights of the city, you'll make stops to admire the stunning colourful illuminations of the Northern Lights. Having admired the incredible natural light show, you'll return to Reykjavik for about midnight.

Individual supplement

The price indicated is per person based on an ATV shared by two people. If you'd like to drive an ATV by yourself, please indicate this in the comments box when making your reservation, and pay the supplementary charge on the day of the excursion (10000 ISK, approximately 80 USD). 

Please note

As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, it's impossible to ensure that we will be able to observe them. If you don't see the lights during the excursion, we will offer you another opportunity to see them, but unfortunately it will not be possible to provide a refund.

Meeting points

When making your reservation you'll see a list including the majority of the hotels in Reykjavik. Next to the name of your hotel, you will find the nearest meeting point. As the majority of the streets in the centre are not accessible by bus, you will need to make your way to a nearby location, indicated as a "bus stop" and with a number.

For example, if you choose "20:30 - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Please stand by for pick up at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)" you should be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop 4 (Tryggvagata). You'll find details about the location of the stop in the reservation confirmation.
