Whale & Puffin Watching

We'll meet in the morning at the port in Húsavík, and from there we'll board a traditional Icelandic oak boat and set sail for three hours in Skjálfandi bay. During this time, you'll be able to admire the incredible views of the sea and the rugged coastline.

Not only will you spot dolphins swimming alongside the boat, but you'll also have the chance to see two species that are as different as they are beautiful: whales and puffins. We'll sail to the area which is most commonly frequented by whales and you'll get to witness how they elegantly swim and jump out of the water. You're sure to be impressed by their size and grace.

Next, we'll head towards Puffin Island, a small rock formation off the north coast where these interesting, friendly birds live in complete freedom. In fact, they have even become the national bird of Iceland. We'll sail around the island so that you can get a good view of the puffins and see how they interact with each other.

During the tour, we'll also give you a hot chocolate and some tasty traditional cinnamon rolls; delicious Icelandic treats to keep your energy levels up throughout the day.

After this incredible whale and puffin watching experience, we'll return to the port in Húsavík.
