Hiking in the Westfjords
After meeting at 10 am at 22 Aðalstræti in Isafjordur, we'll board a bus and head west. A 15 minute drive will bring us to the Seljalandsdalur valley.
There, we'll embark on an hour-long hiking trail to the base of the Þjófatindar peaks. The wild landscapes will leave you speechless! Continuing on our trek, we'll reach the mountain pass at the top, where we'll enjoy incomparable panoramic views of the Westfjords.
Having had a rest here, we'll return to the steep hiking trail in the direction of Hnifsdalur, a small village whose name means "Knife Valley". We'll reveal the reason why on the trek!
In Hnifsdalur, the bus will be waiting to drive us back to Isafjordur, where we'll be dropped off at around 2 pm.
