Látrabjarg Puffin Watching
Látrabjarg Puffin Watching
Bright and early at 9 am, we'll see you at Þórsgata 8a in Patreksfjordur and set off southbound for Látrabjarg. When we arrive, we'll find one of Iceland's most important seabird colonies.
During our 1-hour journey, you'll look out at breathtaking views of the Westfjords. When we arrive at Látrabjarg, we'll start walking in search of the different species that inhabit the area. Among these different species, the charming puffins stand out.
These orange-billed birds roost on the impressive cliffs of Látrabjarg during April, May and June. During this period, they breed and live in safety from their predators. You'll be able to take lots of photos of them and see them up close. The guide will also point out other birds such as the common auk, the fulmar, the cormorant and the white-tailed eagle.
After exploring Látrabjarg, we'll return to Patreksfjordur and say our goodbyes at around 4 pm.
