Patreksfjördur & Tálknafjödur Fjords Hike
At 9 am, we'll meet at Þórsgata 8a in Patreksfjördur and start our hike to Tálknafjödur. We'll explore the fjords that line the shores of these two West Icelandic towns.
On this hike, you'll travel along trails that were used before Iceland had its first roads. The guide will also tell us some interesting facts about the local people and their unique customs.
Our 5-hour hike will take us towards the beautiful landscapes of the so-called Land of Fire and Ice as we pass through Litlidalur, Lambeyrarháls and Sudureyri. Did you know that in Sudureyri, many believe in the existence of fairies? We'll unveil the legends related to the fairies as well as discussing the different species of birds that live in the area.
We'll then return to the starting point in Patreksfjördur by minibus, where we should arrive at around 3 pm.
