On this tour, you'll be able to relax in the thermal springs of the Fludir Secret Lagoon, and you'll enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, finishing a perfect day admiring the Nothern Lights. Unmissable!
Secret Lagoon and Northern Lights Tour
Having met in Reykjavik the tour leaves on the road to Fludir. Here you can find the oldest thermal pool on the island.
The Secret Lagoon is a natural pool filled with thermal waters, which means it keeps a temperature of 38-40 degrees centigrade (104 Fahrenheit) throughout the year. For years it was a place only known to the local inhabitants, until a local farmer bought the land and decided to develop it. These days, the Secret Lagoon still has its natural charm, but also benefits from changing rooms, showers, and is well cared for.
You'll have free time to enjoy the waters of Fludir, and relax as you marvel at the nearby geyser which erupts every few minutes. You can wander around the area, and take a look at some of the freshwater springs which can be found along with the main pool.
Well relaxed, we'll continue our excursion by heading to a nearby restaurant, enjoying a buffet dinner filled with Icelandic specialities such as smoked salmon, and mushroom soup.
Then, on the way back to Reykjavik, we'll search out the best spot to see Iceland's star attraction, the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. We'll search out a spot with minimal light pollution to make the most of this stunning natural phenomenon: the cherry on the cake.
With the tour over we head back to the start point.
As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, it's impossible to ensure that we will be able to observe them. If you don't see the lights during the excursion, unfortunately it will not be possible to provide a refund.
When making your reservation you'll see a list including the majority of the hotels in Reykjavik. Next to the name of your hotel, you will find the nearest meet point. As the majority of the streets in the centre are not accessible by bus, you will need to make your way to a nearby location, indicated as a "bus stop" and with a number.
For example, if you choose "20:30 - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Please stand by for pick up at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata" you should be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop 4 (Tryggvagata). You'll find details about the location of the stop in the reservation confirmation.
