Falljökull & Fjallsjökull Glaciers Hike & Boat Trip
Let's visit two glaciers in one day! We'll meet at Skaftafell at 9:45 am and get ready to set off on the first adventure of the day, which will be a hike on the Falljökull Glacier.
After we've got all our hiking gear ready, we'll start walking along the glacier tongue. We'll spend 3 hours exploring the Vatnajökull National Park and admiring breathtaking views of Falljökull, which is full of ice formations, crevasses and crystal-clear pools.
Throughout the hike, we'll share some of this ice giant's best-kept secrets. These include its hidden lava fields, secret mountains, little-explored waterfalls and nearby fjords.
Next, we'll swap our crampons for a small motorboat and set sail on a cruise on the lake of the Fjallsjökull Glacier. You'll have to travel in your own vehicle in order to reach the boat dock. During our trip on the zodiac, which will last 1 hour 30 minutes, we'll see the lake's incredible icebergs and listen to the sound of the ice cracking amid the silence and tranquillity of this spot.
Once our boat trip around the Fjallsjökull Glacier has come to an end, we'll take you back to the starting point and say our goodbyes at around 3 pm.
